Pedro Frey is a descendant of several generations of winegrowers in the Douro Valley and has not shied away from tradition. He personally takes care of the production of ‘Frey’ wines in a century-old quinta where he spent his childhood.
The altitude and rich granite and schist soils of Portugal’s famous Douro region provide great natural acidity and enable the production of fresh, mineral wines, centred on indigenous grape varieties and vines over 100 years old.
Frey’s wines are organic and are made by hand, with minimal intervention in the winery.
